Greek Guy Restaurant Closes Abruptly In Wallingford
The owners announced the decision Thursday.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Greek Guy restaurant has closed its doors for good, the owners announced Thursday. The Greek Guy, located at 600 North Colony Road, was owned and operated by the Nakis family, who recently opened The Chuck Wagon restaurant at 20 Ives Road.
“Hello Wallingford. I unfortunately have some very bad news. Greek Guy restaurant is permanently closed,” owner Chris Nakis wrote on the Positively Wallingford Facebook page. “It was an extremely hard decision for myself and my family to make. I can’t get into details but a new restaurant will take its place soon run by the new owners. We had a great run, was tons of fun.....most of the time... and we made a ton of new friends which I can consider family! We will still continue to run the Chuckwagon and focus on that solely. Now many of you bought gift cards before we sold so they can also work at Chuckwagon if you would like or we can offer you total refund. I understand not everyone likes burgers and dogs. But we will now be offering gyros, souvlaki as well as our Greek salad at The Chuckwagon now as well. Once again, I would love to thank you all for your years of support and see ya’ll at The Chuckwagon!!!”
