Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crash In Wallingford
The crash happened early Sunday morning, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A motorcyclist was hospitalized after crashing into a utility pole early Sunday morning in Wallingford, according to police. The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on North Branford Road near its intersection with Scard Road, according to Lt. Anthony DeMaio.
The motorcyclist, identified as Christopher Tolento, 41, of Meriden, was operating a 2016 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle south on North Branford Road just before the collision. After passing the intersection of Scard Road, Tolento encountered a slight curve in the road and hit the curb, according to DeMaio.
Tolento then went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to DeMaio. He was being treated for his injuries at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Sunday morning.

Traffic was affected for several hours as police reconstructed the collision, DeMaio said.
Police are asking any witnesses, or anyone who has information about Tolento’s whereabouts on Saturday evening (Aug. 29), to call Officer Christian Evans at 203-294-2819 or Lt. Anthony DeMaio at 203-294-2838.
