‘Next Generation’ Dunkin’ Donuts Opening In Wallingford
The newly designed "store of the future" in Wallingford is one of the first new Dunkin' restaurants to open in Connecticut.
WALLINGFORD, CT — One of the first “Next Generation” Dunkin’ Donuts in the state is opening in Wallingford next week. Dunkin’ announced Friday that its new “store of the future” will be opening at 1101 North Colony Road in Wallingford on Oct. 18. The company is also opening a “next generation” location in Simsbury, located at 1261 Hopmeadow Street.
The new restaurants feature the brand’s “next generation design, with a modern atmosphere and innovative technologies to make running on Dunkin’ faster and more convenient than ever before,” according to a press release. The two new locations are among the 50 or more new and remodeled Dunkin’ restaurants featuring the new design this year and are the first to open in Connecticut. Modern Design: The openness, colors and materials used in the design help to create an approachable, positive and energetic environment.
Premium Pours: Dunkin’s signature cold beverages are now served through an innovative tap system serving eight consistently cold beverages such as coffees, iced teas, cold brew coffee and nitro infused cold brew coffee. Crew members will also use top-quality flavor-maximizing espresso machines to make hand-crafted drinks to order.

The Wallingford location will feature a “Faster than Ever Drive-Thru Experience.”
“An exclusive On-the-Go drive-thru lane lets DD Perks members who order ahead via Dunkin’s Mobile App bypass the ordering lane and head straight into the line for the pickup window,” according to the press release. “Dunkin’ is the first national restaurant brand to offer this type of drive-thru innovation and convenience.”
“The new menu offerings and approachable atmosphere will grab the attention of Dunkin’ fans and help keep Wallingford running on Dunkin’ for years to come,” Wallingford Dunkin’ franchisee Manny Rocha said.
