Obituary: Anthony J. Perry Jr., 53, Of Wallingford

A true family man, Anthony was a Platt Tech graduate and had a successful career as a talented cabinet maker and woodworker.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Anthony J. Perry Jr., 53, beloved husband and father, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Born in Stamford on September 30, 1967, he was the son of Anthony and Carol (Demarco) Perry.

He graduated from Platt Technical High School, where he focused his attention on woodworking and learned skills which led him to have a successful career as a talented cabinet maker and woodworker.

Anthony was a true family man; he adored his wife, Sherry and loved the life they had built together. He cherished his children and loved having fun with them; skiing and fishing with his son, Joe, chatting about art and listening to rock music (LOUDLY) with his daughter, Ashley, as well as laughing and joking with his daughter, Marissa about how alike the two of them were while kicking back drinks. He also enjoyed having nightly phone calls with his parents and always checked in on his sisters.

In addition to his parents, Anthony will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Sherry Perry; his cherished children, Ashley, Marissa & Joseph Perry; his sisters and their spouses, Melissa & Michael Garuti and Loree & Justin Drawbaugh; his nieces & nephews, Christopher Garuti, Lila Garuti, AJ Drawbaugh, Jake Drawbaugh and Sophie Drawbaugh; his uncle, Carter Demarco & Connie; and numerous extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Angelo & Philomena Demarco as well as his nephew, Luke Drawbaugh.

Anthony’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Thursday, March 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. COVID precautions will be followed and masks required. Due to COVID, interment will be private however services will be streamed Friday at 2 pm on his online obituary page at www.wallingfordfh.com.
