Obituary: Donna (Farone) Massores, 64, Of Wallingford

Donna was one of a kind, had the gift to gab, and was a very special person to her husband Lenny and her entire family.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home): Donna (Farone) Massores, 64, of Wallingford, loving and devoted wife for 47 years of Leonard Massores Sr., peacefully entered into eternal life, surrounded by her beloved husband and family, Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at The Summit at Plantsville after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born in Meriden, July 4, 1956, a daughter of the late John “Moon” Farone and Alda (Carroll) Farone and had been a lifelong resident of Wallingford.

Donna will be remembered for her love of the beach, watching sunsets, camping with her sister and her daily walks with her husband Lenny and her four-legged faithful companion “LuLu.” She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle and spending time with her cherished family.

Donna was one of a kind, had the gift to gab, and was a very special person to her husband Lenny and her entire family. She will be greatly missed, but will live on in their hearts forever.

In addition to her beloved Lenny, she is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Leonard Massores Jr. and his wife Margie Rivera Massores of Meriden, and Michael C. Massores of Torrington; her grandchildren Priscilla, Jordan and her grand dog “Bandit”; her sisters Arlene (Leonard) Martin and Elaine (Robert) Johnson all of Wallingford; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends including the Closet Queens and “what not.” She was predeceased by her brother Thomas J. Farone and her sister-in-law Brenda Farone, her father in-law and mother in-law, Charles and Margaret “Peggy” Massores, and her sister in-law Kathryn Massores.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the entire staff of The Summit at Plantsville for their wonderful care, compassion, and love for Donna.

A Celebration of Life for Donna will be held at a time when everyone can safely gather. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.
