Obituary: John Alden Lossing, 71, of Wallingford

John worked for Pacific Packaging, was an avid guitar enthusiast, loved driving his Porsche and cherished spending time with loved ones.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) John Alden Lossing, 71, of Wallingford, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

He was the loving husband of Kimberly Luschenat Lossing.

John was born in Ohio, May 27, 1950, a son of the late Alden and Leslie (Worden) Lossing.

He was employed in sales by Pacific Packaging.

John was a guitar enthusiast who had a passion for driving his Porsche.

John found the most joy spending time with his family, especially his Grandsons, Tanner & Mickey.

In addition to his wife Kim, John is survived by his children, Erik Lossing, Justin DelVecchio and his wife Mandy and their children Tanner & Mickey and Joshua DelVecchio and his wife Danielle; his father-in-law, Karl W. Luschenat; his brother-in-law, Karl “Kip” Luschenat and his wife Lisa; and a large extended family and many dear friends, especially Susan Clare Stacey. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Barbara Luschenat.

His family would like to extend their gratitude to staffs of The CT Hospice and Senior Bridge for the excellent and compassionate care they provided.

Especially Joseph, who helped make John’s final days at home possible.

John’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday, July 2nd from 3 to 5:30pm.

A celebration of John’s life will follow in the funeral home at 5:30pm.

Interment will be private.
