Obituary: Julius John Ivan Sr., 79, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Julius John Ivan Sr., 79, of Wallingford, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021. Born in Zemplénagárd, Hungary on July 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Gyula and Julianna Ivan. He worked for Circuit Wise in North Haven for many years until his retirement.

Julius is survived by his beloved wife of over 58 years, Sandra Ivan; his daughter, Wendy Ivan; his sons, Julius Ivan Jr. (Jennifer) and David Ivan (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Jessica, Amy, Tracy, Nick, Jared and James; his great-grandchildren, Nick, Bailey, Elliott, Abbey, Lucas, Nora, Jessica, Luca and Giovani; his sister-in-law, Betty Gerencser (Leslie); and numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Julius was predeceased by his sisters, Julan and Alanka as well as his sister-in-law, Nancy Wingbrockett.

The family would like to thank Regency House for the care and compassion they provided.

Julius’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Tuesday, April 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7 pm. Interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery will be private. COVID precautions will be followed and masks are required.
