Obituary: Linda R. DeMartino-Marcella, 54, Of Wallingford
Linda spent her life serving others, always unconditionally giving her time, love, attention and self to all those that she loved.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Hamden Memorial Funeral Home): Linda R. “Goober” DeMartino-Marcella, 54, formerly of Morris Cove and currently of Wallingford, departed this life gracefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021 @ 2:10 pm at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her husband, family and friends.
Linda was born on November 1, 1966, in New Haven, daughter of the late Angelo “Popcorn” and Catherine “Kaye” (Celone) DeMartino.
Linda spent her life serving others, she was truly an angel on this earth, always unconditionally giving her time, love, attention and self to all those that she loved. Any person that needed help, a shoulder to cry or an ear to listen she was there for.

During her career she worked as a bank teller with Citizens Bank. Linda loved her family and friends, they meant everything to her!! She loved spending time with her grandkids and family, riding on the back of her husband’s Harley, she loved cooking & baking for anyone who wanted it, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She spent the whole year preparing for the holidays! Linda’s memory will forever be cherished and burn bright in all the lives of those she had touched.
Linda is survived by her husband Joseph J. Marcella, her granddaughters Gianna Imbraguglio & Ashley Magdon of Wallingford. Her brother Rosaire Badger and his wife Karen of Florida. Her nieces Jillian (Daniel) Jack and their children Alexander and Coraline of East Haven, Marcella (Josh) Deitch and their children Aiden and Emilee of New Haven, Katelyn Canestri of New Haven and her nephew John Joseph “Jay Bird” Marcella and his daughter Adelynn of West Haven. She is also survived by countless other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son Anthony DeMartino-Marcella, her stepson Nicholas James Imbraguglio, and her brothers Peter & John “Johnny De” DeMartino.

Linda’s family would like to invite all who knew her to attend her memorial service at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 4 p.m.- 7p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family.
