Obituary: Phyllis C. (Johnson) Cella, 86, of Wallingford
Phyllis previously worked on the family owned Cella Brothers Dairy Farm. She enjoyed square dancing and cherished family vacations.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Phyllis C. (Johnson) Cella, 86, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully, June 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Cella.
Phyllis was born in Stony Creek, May 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Carl R. and Louise (Beals) Johnson and resided in Wallingford for 64 years where they lived on and operated Cella Brothers Dairy Farm where she often helped alongside her husband and two daughters.
Phyllis enjoyed square dancing and met her husband square dancing in Stony Creek.
They continued to enjoy square dancing while married. Phyllis and Ed enjoyed yearly vacations to Pennsylvania visiting the Amish and watching quilts be made on an Amish farm.
In addition to her husband Edward, she is survived by her two daughters, Robin Cella McCoy and her husband Patrick, and Anne Cella, all of Wallingford; her grandson, Ryan McCoy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two brothers and five sisters.
Her family would like to thank her caregiver, Priscilla for the excellent care and compassion that she provided.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Monday, June 7th, from 9:30am to 11am.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the CT Farm Bureau (www.cfba.org).
