Owner Sought After Dog Fight In Wallingford

The animal control is asking for help with locating a dog owner after an altercation, but say the person is 'absolutely not in trouble.'

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Animal Control is asking for help with locating the owner of a dog that got into an altercation with another dog Friday afternoon at Oakdale Woods. The animal control says the person is “absolutely not in trouble,” they just want to verify the dog’s rabies vaccination status.

“We’re looking for an individual whose dog got into a minor scuffle with another dog this afternoon at Oakdale Woods,” the animal control wrote in a post on Facebook. “The dog was described as medium to large in size, solid black with a longer hair coat and floppy ears, being walked on a blue halti type head collar and blue leash. The dog’s owner was described as a blond woman with glasses, perhaps in her 20s, having some type of European accent.

“If you are this woman, you are not in trouble! We repeat, you are absolutely not in trouble! We would simply like to verify rabies vaccination status since there was a little altercation with another pup. Please call our office at (203)294-2180. Thank you so much!”
