Parking Ban Announced In Wallingford
With more snow in the forecast, officials announce a parking ban that will be in effect in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A parking ban will be in effect in Wallingford due to the impending snowstorm, officials announced Wednesday.
The parking ban begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 and ends at 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, according to police.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the state and is predicting around 4 to 8 inches of snow covering Thursday and Friday.

The Department of Public Works reminds residents that temporary parking is available in municipal lots when parking bans are in effect during winter storms. The parking options listed below are located in the downtown area.
- Town Hall - 45 South Main Street
- Cornerstone Community Credit Union - 88 South Main Street
- Wallingford Public Library - 200 North Main Street
- Caplan/Wooding Property - located behind the building that corners North Main Street and Center Street
- Simpson Court Rear Lot - park in designated municipal area
- Whittlesey Avenue & Orchard Street - park in designated municipal area
- Meadow Street & William Street - park in designated municipal area
- Historic Railroad Station - park behind station on the west side of the tracks
“Please remember that relocating your vehicle from the street assists with the removal of snow and proper treatment of the roadway surface,” according to the Public Works Department. “When a parking ban is in effect, motor vehicles may not be parked on any public street and are subject to removal.”
