Popular Restaurant Closing In Wallingford

The restaurant will close at the end of the week.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Popular breakfast and sandwich restaurant Anthony’s Sub Shop is closing at the end of the week after more than 30 years in business in Wallingford, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports owner Laura Cusano, who recently returned after a long absence due to back surgery, and her husband, Tony Cusano, have decided to retire. To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.

They plan to sell the restaurant, located at 211 South Colony Road, to another couple that plans to continue it as a restaurant but not as Anthony’s, according to the Record-Journal.
