The Fishbein/Wallingford Family YMCA road race, which will be one of the few in-person races this fall, will also have a virtual component.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police have announced a road closure and parking bans that will be in effect for the Fishbein/Wallingford Family YMCA Road Race on Sunday, Oct. 4, in Wallingford.

This year’s road race will have both a live and a virtual component, due to the coronavirus pandemic. In following Gov. Ned Lamont’s guidelines for outdoor events, the YMCA has been several protocols in place, according to organizers.

The 5K race will be the only live event, while the 5K, 10K and 1-mile walk is being offered as virtual options. The race will be limited to 500 participants.
