Sheehan Football Advances To Class S State Championship Game
The Titans are heading to the program's first state final in 34 years after a thrilling semifinal victory over top-seeded Ansonia.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Sheehan football team is heading to the Class S championship game after a thrilling 30-22 semifinal victory over top-seeded Ansonia Monday night in Derby.
The fourth-seeded Titans will face No. 3 Bloomfield in the Class S championship game at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trumbull High School. Sheehan’s only other appearance in the finals was 1985 when the Titans claimed the state championship, according to GameTimeCT.com.
Terrence Bogan and Jordan Davis led Sheehan’s ground attack in the smash-mouth victory. Bogan finished with 186 yards rushing while Davis had 118, according to GameTimeCT.
