Summer Lifeguard Jobs Available at Local State Park

Need a job this summer? The state is hiring lifeguards and the pay is $9.60-$13 per hour.  

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) encourages anyone interested in working as a lifeguard this summer to apply for a position at Connecticut’s State Parks. Jobs are open at seven parks, including Wharton Brook State Park.

Positions are available at the following locations:

Black Rock State Park – Watertown
Indian Well State Park – Shelton
Mt Tom – Litchfield
Silver Sands State Park – Milford
Sherwood Island State Park – Westport
Wadsworth Falls State Park – Middletown
Wharton Brook State Park – Wallingford

Dates of employment are from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  The normal workweek is 40 hours including weekends and holidays. 

The salary range is $9.60 - $13 per hour depending upon years of experience and qualifications.
