Vehicle Crashes Into Utility Pole, Closes Road: Wallingford PD
Police said power is expected to be out for several homes and businesses in the area while the utility pole is replaced.
WALLINGFORD, CT — North Colony Road is closed between Church Street and Wrinn Street due to a crash involving a utility pole, according to police.
A vehicle struck the utility pole in the area of 181 North Colony Rd., according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley. Traffic is being diverted off North Colony Road due to the accident.
Bradley said the pole needs to be replaced and the accident area is expected to be closed to traffic for several hours.

“In addition, it is expected that there will be a loss of power to several homes and businesses while the new pole is placed and the utilities moved onto the new pole,” Bradley said.
