Vineyard In Wallingford Reopening For Curbside Pickup

WALLINGFORD, CT — After temporarily closing last month due to the coronavirus pandemic, Gouveia Vineyards will reopen for curbside pickup only on two days this week. Gouveia Vineyards will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11. They are offering a free bottle of wine to front-line workers with a military, firefighter, police, and medical personnel badge and a valid ID.

“On March 16, 2020, The Gouveia Family made the very difficult decision to do our part in the fight against COVID-19, and to temporarily shut our doors to Gouveia Vineyards and The Library Wine Bar and Bistro,” reads an update on the Gouveia Vineyards website. “The fields that once were lined with picnic blankets are now bare. The dining areas that once echoed with chatter and laughter now resonate with silence. However, through all of this, our original mission, to have a place where people can slow down and to make time for their family and friends has gone unchanged. Times are different and difficult now, however, through all challenges we must have hope.

“The Gouveia Family has hope that our doors will soon open and our businesses will once again bring people together. We will celebrate graduations, birthdays, and anniversaries. We will be the backdrop of proposals and first dates. We will be a place of serenity for solo adventurers and for groups of family and friends. We have hope that we will get through this together and as one.”

As part of the curbside pickup on April 10 and 11, Gouveia Vineyards is offering 10 percent off six bottles and 20 percent off 12 bottles of wine that is ordered in advance. Email all orders to gouveiavineyards@sbcglobal.net.
