Vinny’s Deli Offering Free Toilet Paper With Sandwich

WALLINGFORD, CT — Vinny’s Deli in Wallingford is helping customers deal with these trying times in a unique way. The popular deli, well-known for its home-made roast beef and unique sandwiches, announced Tuesday that it would be offering a free roll of toilet paper with the purchase of any sandwich.

“During these trying times, we don't want any of our customers to stress over the necessities like toilet paper,” reads a post on the Vinny’s Deli Facebook page. “With this coupon we are offering a free roll of toilet paper with the purchase of any sandwich to those that are not finding it in the local supermarket. One per customer while supplies last. Offer cannot be combined with any other coupons.”

Vinny’s previously announced, before the state ordered that all restaurants and bars be closed, that it would be offering curbside takeout.

“Order online or call in an order and we will be happy to bring the order right to your car,” Vinny’s wrote in a post on Sunday. “Please use a c/c when ordering and list color and type of car you will be driving. As always, we take the safety of our customers very serious. We will continue with the highest sanitation practices and will add even higher frequency standards for surfaces that our customers come in contact with. We are not taking this situation lightly. We value the relationships that we have with our customers and will continue to make any and all changes necessary to maintain the health of everyone enters our doors.”

UPDATE: In an update on Sunday morning (March 22), Vinny’s said they are currently out of both Purell and toilet paper.

“We are currently out of both, however, we are trying our best to restock them,” according to a post on the Vinny’s Deli Facebook page. “When they are in stock we sell them at cost. We limit quantities. TP is 50 cents per roll with a limit of 5 per person and Purell 33.8oz bag is $12 with a limit of 1 per person. We will post when they are back in stock.

“We will stay open as long as we can but we will be reassessing that decision daily. There might be longer waits and a smaller menu so please be patient with us. We are trying our best during this situation.”
