Wallingford Man Facing Home Invasion Charges in West Haven

A Wallingford man is facing charges in West Haven after he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend and her friend after breaking into her apartment, according to police.

The Hartford Courant reported Monday that police were called to 308 Main St. in West Haven around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night. The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend, identified as Peter Marone, 45, of Wallingford, had broken in to her apartment and assaulted her and a male friend, according to the report.

The male friend was taken to the hospital suffering from head injuries after Marone allegedly hit him with a lamp, according to police. Marone was charged with home invasion, second-degree assault, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening, according to the Courant.
