Wallingford Memorial Day Parade set for Monday
The Wallingford Police Department announces road closures, parking prohibitions for annual Memorial Day Parade.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford’s annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 30.
A ceremony will be held before the parade at Dutton Park, North Main Street, at 9 a.m., with the parade stepping off at approximately 9:50 a.m. or immediately at the conclusion of the ceremony.
In the event of rain, the program will be held at Sheehan High School at 10 a.m.

The Wallingford Police Department announces the following road closures and parking prohibitions that will be in effect for all vehicular traffic from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 30:

- North Main Street from the intersection of Cedar Street and Maplewood Avenue to the intersection of Center Street.
- Center Street from the intersection of North Main Street to the intersection of South Elm Street.
- South Elm Street from the intersection of Center Street to the intersection of Ward Street.
Parking prohibitions will be in effect for the duration of the event, and shall include portions of the roadways that are adjacent to, or in close proximity of the parade route and above noted road closures. These prohibitions will be clearly posted prior to the event.
Vehicles parked in violation of this prohibition will be subject to the issuance of a parking ticket by police, and removal by tow truck.
