Wallingford Police Blotter: May 20 Through May 31, 2021

Recent arrests by the Wallingford Police Department. All charges are allegations and not convictions.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The following information has been provided by the Wallingford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:

Michael Cancel, 30, of Wallingford, was arrested May 20 on charges of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 3, according to state judicial records.

Patricia A. Barrese, 67, of Silliman Street, Fairfield, was arrested May 20 on a charge of second-degree breach of peace. She was released on a promise to appear in court on July 15.

Eliud Gonzalez, 45, of South Elm Street, Wallingford, was arrested May 20 on charges of risk of injury to child, second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. He was released after posting a $100,000 bond with a court date of Aug. 2.

Taimoor R. Zaidi, 34, of North Farms Road, Wallingford, was arrested May 20 on a charge of violation of protective order. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond with a court date of July 15.

Andrew S. Ferguson, 35, of White Tail Lane, Wallingford, was arrested May 21 on two counts of violation of probation. He was released after posting bonds totaling $35,000 with a court date of Aug. 2.

Michelle Mirabito, 40, of Chimney Hill Road, was arrested May 23 on a charge of second-degree breach of peace. She was released after posting a $1,500 bond with a court date of July 22.

Edgar Diaz, 24, of Hanover Street, Meriden, was arrested May 24 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of less than ½ ounce of cannabis and operating without insurance. He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 8.

James D. Larese, 56, of Country Club Road, New Britain, was arrested May 26 on charges of second-degree breach of peace, sixth-degree larceny, possession of narcotics and use of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of July 14.

Teresa M. Davitt, 57, of Ellsworth Avenue, New Haven, was arrested May 26 on charges of sixth-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear. She was released after posting bonds totaling $5,000 with court dates of July 7 and July 14.

Randy D. Fleming, 47, of Newhall Street, New Haven, was arrested May 28 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 26.

Adam A. Ayala, 37, of Farmington Avenue, Hartford, was arrested May 28 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs, improper turns and operating without a license. He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 16.

Kiara Soto-Chavez, 21, of South Cherry Street, Wallingford, was arrested May 29 on charges of third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 13.

Alexander P. Davis, 27, of Bronx, New York, was arrested May 30 on charges of risk of injury to child, interfering with an emergency call, second-degree breach of peace, interfering with officer/resisting and operating without a license. He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 29.

Christine Prestash, 47, of Concord Drive, Madison, was arrested May 30 on a charge of operating under the influence of alcohol/drugs. She was released after posting a $1,500 bond with a court date of July 29.

James N. Garofano, 26, of Old Post Road, Northford, was arrested May 31 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $1,500 bond with a court date of July 19.
