Wallingford Public Library Closes To Public

Officials said the library is temporarily closing due to rising coronavirus cases along with "serious concerns" about mask compliance.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Public Library is temporarily closing its building to the public, officials announced on Monday.

“Due to rising infection rates and recent news that a more contagious COVID-19 variant has been found in New Haven County, along with serious concerns about compliance with the library’s mask policy, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our building to the public,” officials wrote in a statement on the library’s website. “We will continue monitoring this situation carefully and look forward to reopening again as soon as safely possible. Until then, take care and stay safe.”

The library is continuing to offer its Park ‘n Pickup no-contact pickup service for library materials along with the following services:
