Wallingford Resident Graduates From U.S. Coast Guard Academy

He attended local schools and played many seasons in the Wallingford Youth Soccer League and for a number of Connecticut club teams.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (Contributed): Ensign Daniel J. Taglianetti of Wallingford graduated with honors from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London on May 19, receiving his commission as an officer from President Joe Biden.

Taglianetti attended local schools and played many seasons in the Wallingford Youth Soccer League and for a number of Connecticut club teams. He attended Sheehan High School, transferring to the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, where he played soccer and ran track.

At Coast Guard, Dan majored in Management, was heavily involved in the training of incoming cadets, and was a Captain of the soccer and track teams in his senior year. He is now assigned to Basic Flight Training at Naval Air Station Pensacola.

Dan is the son of Dave and Jackie Taglianetti of Wallingford and is the brother of Chris and Nick Taglianetti.
