Wallingford Residents Receive COVID-19 Vaccine: Here's How Many

State health officials released data for the first time that shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A total of 6,127 Wallingford residents received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Feb. 1, according to the state Department of Public Health.

There are 44,326 Wallingford residents and 13.82 percent of them have received their first dose of the vaccine. Wallingford has 4,107 residents over the age of 75 and 2,239 of them have received their first dose, or 55.74 percent, according to state health officials.

In nearby towns, Cheshire has disseminated the vaccine to 13.98 percent of its population, Meriden is at 7.86 percent, North Haven is at 14 percent, North Branford is at 12.64 percent, Durham is at 11.93 percent and Hamden is at 11.35 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, Wallingford has reported 3,269 cases and 150 deaths.
