Wallingford Restaurants: Here's Who's Closed, Open For Take-Out

Here's what's happening at some of your favorite restaurants: Colony Diner, Archie Moore's, The Library, Dad's, Ola, Neil's Donuts and more.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont has ordered all restaurants and bars to close in an effort to help contain the spread of the new coronavirus. Local eateries, however, are allowed to be open for delivery and takeout orders.

In Wallingford, most restaurants are offering delivery and takeout options. Some restaurants and eateries are closed.

Here is a roundup of what some of your favorite restaurants in town are doing (updated March 23):

Colony Diner, 611 North Colony Rd., is offering delivery, pick-up and curbside delivery. Find them on DoorDash or call 203-269-9507.


The Eatery (65 S. Colony St.) will “continue offering takeout, curbside pickup, and now free delivery until further notice! Please find us on Facebook or Instagram @wallingfordeatery for more details! Thank you for your support and we wish everyone the best during these tough times!”

The Library is shut down completely until further notice. Due to the state’s order, they “have made the difficult decision to shut down completely until further notice… We can be reached via email with any questions or concerns at events@thelibrarywinebar.com, or info@thelibrarywinebar.com. We appreciate all of our guests dearly, and look forward to reopening as soon as possible to begin serving you again! Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your understanding!”


Ola Restaurant is offering takeout and curbside service. In an update on March 24, they said their hours will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday - Sunday until further notice.


Dad’s Restaurant is open for takeout, curbside pickup and offering free delivery.


Archie Moore’s is take-out service only. “We will continue to provide this service throughout this ordeal,” they wrote in a post on Facebook. “We also want to thank you for your generosity in tipping our staff when picking up your order. We are all in this together.....” Call 203-265-7100 or order online at archiemoores.com.


Gaetano's Tavern on Main is open for take-out and curbside pickup.


J. Christians Restaurant is offering pickup/curbside pickup Tuesday-Saturday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. “Any order over $75 will get a $25 gift certificate. No gift cards will be accepted at this time.”


Michael’s Trattoria is closed. “We wish you and your family good health and hope to reopen as soon as possible,” reads a post on its website. “Be safe!!!! We will get through this together.”


Knuckleheads is closed until further notice. “We have to close until further notice,” they wrote in a post on Facebook. “The service industry is a demanding lifestyle, Our family at knucks have little time to go to the grocery store on a normal week. That being said we believe in giving all of you the freshest products possible so nothing we have in stock now will be seeing a freezer. We are passing of our perishables to staff so we all have enough to hold us over. We wish the best to all of you. We'll all get through this and hopefully see you guys again very soon.”


Larry & Mike’s Route 5 Kitchen, 628 South Colony Rd., is open for takeout and curbside pickup. “As we are primarily takeout, we will continue to operate our takeout but there will be no inside dining,” they wrote on Facebook. “If you would like curbside pickup please call us when you are there and we will bring it out to you. We will continue wiping down constantly as to keep our staff and our patrons safe. One last note, please try and patronize your local businesses while we all try to get thru this terrible time. The future of your business population depends on your support, I cant stress this enough. Thank you and be safe.” Call 203-626-5498.


The Chuckwagon, 20 Ives Rd., is offering free delivery along with take-out and curbside pickup.


Neil’s Donuts is open. “Per Health Department: As of right now we will remain OPEN regular business hours!” Neil’s Donuts wrote on Facebook. “We had to get rid of the tables. We are taking extra precautions wiping down areas.”


Mr. D’s, 50 North Main St., is open for business. “Going forward we will be open from 12 p.m. each day to 8:30 p.m. each evening for carry out or curbside only,” they wrote on Facebook.


Vinny’s Deli is offering curbside takeout, and a free roll of toilet paper with the purchase of a sandwich (while supplies last).


Gigante’s Too, 817 East Center St., is closed (UPDATE: March 21): "For the health of our staff and customers we will be closed till further notice," they wrote on Facebook. "This was a hard decision for us. We would like to thank all of our great customers for your support."


Carini’s Restaurant, 822 East Center St., is open for takeout only.


Stella Pizza & Restaurant, 11 South Colony Rd., is open for takeout only or delivery through UberEats.


DiBella's Subs, 1086 North Colony Rd., is open. They are offering 50 percent off all orders to first responders, nurses, health care workers, doctors and military and say 50 percent of sales from all other orders will be donated to local community food banks. Free delivery from dibellas.com on any order of $15 or more.


(UPDATE) Iron Chef Restaurant, 930 North Colony Rd., has reopened for takeout from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily. They offer 20 percent off for an "online order." Call 203-265-2000 or visit www.IronChefCT.com.


Fabi’s Pizza, 560 South Main St., will be offering curbside pick-up and delivery only. “We strongly encourage customers to pay over the phone for both curbside pick-up and delivery.” Call 203-678-4407.


Laskara Restaurant, 295 Parker Farms Rd, is open for takeout, curbside and delivery until further notice. "We are offering our entire menu including our happy hour and ladies night as well as doing specialized to go packages." Call 203-679-0844.


Ferrauolo’s Place, 314 Main St. in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, is open for takeout and curbside pickup. Call 203-265-1782.


2 Guys 1 Grill, 32 North Turnpike Rd., is open for takeout from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Call 203-284-5998.


Henry’s on Route 5 is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily for takeout and delivery through Door Dash. You can call directly at 203-741-9405.


Paradise Pizza, 624 South Colony Rd., is running its regular hours Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. "We offer takeout, curbside pickup, and free delivery. Call 203-294-9494. We currently are running promotions on our website www.sliceinparadise.com and any first time online order gets 15% off! East Side Pizza Palace, 827 East Center St., "will continue to operate normal hours until we are told otherwise. All orders are for takeout, delivery or curbside service only just let us know over the phone. 203-265-4545."

Wood-n-Tap is closed until further notice.


Sliders Grill & Bar, 950 Yale Ave., is open for takeout and delivery, Sunday-Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.


Christos Pizza & Restaurant, 552 North Colony Rd., Open every day except Monday for delivery and carryout orders. Online ordering is also an option so there doesn’t have to be any sort of cash transaction if the customer doesn’t feel comfortable doing so.
