Wallingford's Dag Hammarskjold Middle School Has a New Principal

Sashi Govin, Assistant Principal at Canton High School, was named principal of Dag Hammarskjold Middle School, according to a notice from Canton Superintendent of Schools Kevin Case. 

"I know you will join me in congratulating Mrs. Govin on advancing on to the next stage of her professional career," Case stated in the notice.

"Her work in Canton has certainly prepared her for her new role as Principal of the 800 student middle school. She has served the Canton High School community well in her two and a half years with us. I thank her for all her hard work and for the value she brought to our school community," Case wrote.

Govin will begin her new position in Wallingford in July 2013.

"The search process will begin soon for the next Assistant Principal of Canton High School to ensure a smooth transition of leadership for the new school year," Case stated.
