Wharton Brook Closed to Swimmers on Tuesday
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced that five state parks will be closed to swimming.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wharton Brook in Wallingford is one of five state parks closed for swimming on Tuesday, the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced.
The park's swimming area was closed due to high bacteria levels, according to DEEP.
Other parks that are closed to swimmers Tuesday include Silver Sands State Park in Milford, Indian Well in Shelton, Kettletown in Southbury, and Wadsworth Falls in Middlefield.
