Zandri’s Stillwood Inn Closes Banquet Hall In Wallingford
The owners of the popular banquet facility are returning to their catering roots and transitioning to the next stage of their business life.
WALLINGFORD, CT — After 40 years in business, Zandri’s Stillwood Inn has closed its banquet center due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Zandri family is in the process of transitioning to the next stage in their business life and returning to their catering roots, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports owner Jim Zandri is returning to off-site catering and is in the process of transforming the banquet hall into a climate-controlled storage facility. Zandri’s Stillwood Inn has been a staple in the Wallingford community, hosting numerous fundraisers and events over the years.
“As many of you may already know Zandri's Stillwood Inn, our banquet center, has sadly closed,” the owners recently wrote in a post on Facebook. “Like many other local businesses we were negatively effected by the coronavirus. Although these last few months have been difficult we at Zandri's offer our sincere gratitude to the thousands we've served since opening our banquet hall in 1979. Thank you for your business and for the memories!
