10 Waterford Power Plant Workers Test Positive For COVID-19
A Waterford power plant is being criticized for its response to the pandemic.
WATERFORD, CT — Ten employees at Millstone Power Station have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report in The Day. This comes in the middle of the plant refueling one of its nuclear reactors, which has brought 750 temporary workers to the plant.
A security officer and union official said that the "rank and file just don't feel like the company respects or appreciates the commitment and dedication" shown by the plant's essential employees.
A company spokesman said that Millstone has not heard any criticism internally regarding their response to the pandemic, The Day reported.
