$1,000 in Cash; Marijuana Seized After Waterford Car Accident
An accident on Route 32 resulted in an arrest for alleged possession of marijuana.
On Thursday, April 28, members of the Waterford Police Department Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32 in the Quaker Hill Section of Waterford.
During the investigation, officers conducted interviews which led to them locating a marijuana that had allegedly been hidden from responding officers. Police seized approximately 11 ounces of marijuana packaged for individual sale and more than $1,000 in cash.
Police arrested Ateeq Shafiq, 64 Scotch Cap Rd., Quaker Hill. He was charged with possession of over 1/2 an ounce of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
