2 Trapped In Vehicle After Waterford Crash: Fire Union

"Injuries appear to be minor," fire union officials said.

WATERFORD, CT — Two people were trapped in a vehicle and had to be rescued by Waterford firefighters and EMS personnel Tuesday following a crash on the Boston Post Road, according to fire union officials.

The crash occurred in the 300 block of the road, and injuries "appeared to be minor," officials said in a post on the union's Twitter page.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area between Stoneheights Drive and Fog Plain Road as crews worked to free the occupants.
