8-Year-Old Waterford Boy Brings Lost Wallet to Police

Police thanked Giovanni Facchini for his kindness.

Waterford’s Giovanni Facchini, 8, came to the Waterford Police department on Tuesday, May 13, to turn in a wallet that he found on Route One. The wallet had numerous personal items, credit cards, and $355 in cash inside.

“Giovanni and his father tried to find the owner themselves, but when that was unsuccessful, they brought the wallet to us,” the Waterford Police Department said via Facebook. “We talked with Giovanni about what a good job he did, and how much his gesture means to the person that lost the wallet.

Police said: “Great job Giovanni, we love that Waterford is filled with good kids like you!”
