College Hoop Standout From Waterford Breaks Scoring Record
She also tied a school single-game steal record in a lopsided victory Tuesday.

GROTON, CT – Sophomore Mia Brennan of Waterford set a new University of Connecticut Avery Point women’s basketball single-game record with 57 points and matched a single-game record with 14 steals – and also added seven rebounds and five assists – in a 119-20 win over Quinsigamond Community College Tuesday.
Brennan’s 57 points eclipsed the old mark of 55, set by Tatyana LaFrance-Boyce against Bunker Hill in Feb. 2017. Her 14 steals matched LaFrance-Boyce’s effort in the same contest.
Freshman Rebekah Sanders notched a quadruple-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals in the contest. Julitza Delgado had 18 points and seven steals, Miriam Dugas had her third straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Ashley Burke contributed 14 points.
