Man Charged In Waterford Drug Overdose Case: Police
Evan Barile has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal drug overdose last year.
WATERFORD, CT — A man has been arrested in connection with the fatal drug overdose death of a 26-year-old man in Waterford in May 2020, according to police. Evan Barile, 35, of 332 Bricktop Road in Windham, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, conspiracy to commit the sale of a controlled substance, two counts of sale of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.
He was held on $350,000 bail.
Police began investigating following the death of a man due to an overdose of fentanyl and other drugs. Local police joined Norwich police and the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force to identify and find the source of the fentanyl-laced drugs.

Barile is scheduled to be appear in court Friday in Danielson.
This incident is still under investigation and additional arrests are expected, police said.
