Man Dead From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound: Police
Waterford police said the man was found in the Walmart parking lot late Friday night, dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

WATERFORD, CT — A man who has not yet been identified died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in the Walmart parking lot late Friday night, Waterford police said.
According to a media release posted to Facebook by Waterford police Lt. Tim Silva, at 11:08 p.m., a 911 call came in reporting "an unresponsive male with significant injuries in the parking lot" of the Waterford Parkway North store.
Police said patrol officers found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A gun was found and "no one else is suspected to be involved at this time."

The state medical examiner’s office is assisting with the investigation, Silva said.
Police won't be releasing the name of the victim until next of kin can be located.
