Thieves Go Through Unlocked Cars In Waterford

Police are asking residents to keep their cars locked.

WATERFORD, CT — Police said they have received reports of a few unlocked cars gone through Sunday night in the area of Soljer Drive and Warwick Terrace. Police posted the following:

"We have sent a formal request through the Ring app hoping residents may check their videos for any activity overnight in those areas. If you have any footage or other information, please let us know.

"We know we have put out these reminders a few times, but here it is again. Please lock your car doors at night and take the keys out. Most cars if not all that are gone through are unlocked. Many of the cars stolen in Connecticut towns are due to the key fob being left in them."
