Earlier today, March 30th, I signed an Emergency Order, closing all town properties to the general public, to discourage people congregating in public and ensuring social distancing.
This order is in effect immediately and includes the closing of ALL town parks and beaches, basketball courts, school grounds, dog park, tennis courts, playgrounds and municipal buildings. With so many individuals disregarding requests to not congregate as well as an increase in visitors to Waterford, I have closed all Town property to the general public.
My team is working diligently to continue to provide you with necessary services while still maintaining a safe environment.
We are taking the governor’s “Stay Safe, Stay Home” message seriously and encourage all residents to do so as well.
Thank you.
