Waterford Couple Looks to Open Mystic Escape House This Summer

They must first, however, get approval from the Stonington Planning & Zoning Commission.

MYSTIC, CT- A Waterford couple is looking to open an “escape room adventures” facility in a section of the former West Marine location next to McQuade’s Marketplace, as reported by The Day.

The couple, Shelby and Brian Wilson, first must obtain a special use permit from the Stonington Planning and Zoning Commission in order to use the 2,700 square foot facility, The Day reported. A hearing for this will be held at Mystic Middle School on Tuesday at 7:20 p.m.

An escape room involves guests working as a team to solve riddles and clues in order to escape a themed room, according to The Day. If approved, they hope to open the facility by the end of July.
