WATERFORD, CT — A winter storm warning is in effect for our area continuing until 6 am on Tuesday morning. Snow is expected to develop along the shoreline of southeastern CT between midnight tonight and 4 am Monday morning. The snow intensity will increase as the day goes on and will be heavy Monday afternoon and evening. Winds could gust as high as 45 MPH. Snow accumulations could exceed 5 inches.

Please be prepared for potential power outages related to the wind with this storm. Eversource has prepared and has crews ready for any outages that may occur.

A parking ban for the town of Waterford will go into effect at midnight tonight. There will be no on street parking permitted.

Monday trash pickup will occur. Please remove empty trash carts from the street as soon as possible to aid in the clearing of snow and to prevent possible damage. Tuesday trash pickup will be determined on Monday based on snow accumulation. Information regarding trash pickup for Tuesday will be posted on the Town of Waterford web page as well as the Town of Waterford Emergency Management facebook page.
