Waterford High School Football Coach Retires
Coach John Strecker has retired after six seasons.
WATERFORD, CT — John Strecker has retired as head coach of the Waterford High School football team after six seasons, according to The Day. He led the team to its most successful year ever in 2019, when they won a Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference playoff game.
Strecker has been involved in coaching high school football for 25 years. A Waterford school sports official said the search for his successor will begin immediately.
