Waterford Resident Opens Mystic Escape Room, Mystifies Guests
Customers must use clues to solve puzzles and escape a themed room.

MYSTIC, CT – A puzzle-based escape room attraction opened Wednesday on the former West Marine location next to McQuade’s Marketplace, the Westerly Sun reported.
Mystified Escape Room Adventures was conceived by Waterford resident Shelly Wilson, who saw several similar attractions on family vacations, according to the Westerly Sun. She hopes it will fill a niche and offer something after hours for locals and tourists.
Escape rooms challenge visitors to use clues and other methods to solve puzzles and escape themed rooms, according to the Westerly Sun. The two current rooms are themed to “Treasure Island” and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.”
