Waterford Stops Progress On New Fire Building
The Representative Town Meeting voted down moving forward with a new building for Oswegatchie Fire Company.

WATERFORD, CT - The Representative Town Meeting voted down moving forward with a new building for Oswegatchie Fire Company, according to The Day. Members cited concerns about addressing staffing and response time at all town fire services before spending money on new facilities.
The town had approved $200,000 for design work on a new building in 2017, but officials said there are too many questions about fire department needs to continue with the project.
