Work Week Weather: Rain and Chillier Temps Return to Waterford

Heading out to vote Tuesday? It's a good idea to keep an umbrella nearby and don't put away that spring jacket just yet.

The National Weather Service’s updated forecast for the next seven days is pretty good overall, but for people headed to the polls on Tuesday, it’s going to be chilly.

Rain is expected off and on throughout the day and evening. Temps at night will be chilly and on some nights temps may fall back into the low to mid 30s.

Here’s the 7-day forecast via the National Weather Service:

  • Monday: Cloudy, temps in the mid-60s.
  • Monday night: Showers develop between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.
  • Tuesday: Rain off and on throughout the day with temps barely reaching 50 degrees. We can expect to see up to a half inch of rain.
  • Tuesday night: The rain is gone around 8 p.m. and then it’s chilly with temps near 40 on the shoreline and mid-30s inland.
  • Wednesday: Sunshine, temps near 60 degrees.
  • Wednesday night: Temps into the low- to mid-30s.
  • Thursday: Sunshine, temps in the mid-50s to 60 degrees.
  • Thursday night: Temps fall back to around 40 degrees.
  • Friday: Sunshine, temps near 60.

The Weekend:

The forecast calls for sunshine for both Saturday and Sunday, with temps in the low 60s for each day.
