Blizzard Warning Dropped To A Winter Storm Warning In West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for West Haven on Tuesday. A previous Blizzard Warning has been cancelled as snow is expected to turn to sleet this morning and afternoon, which will limit snow accumulation.

West Haven could see between 4 and 14 inches of snow and sleet before ending back as snow, the weather service states. Quite a range for sure. The precipitation is supposed to return from a mix to all snow this evening. Gov. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Blustery, with a west wind 17 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday: Scattered snow showers, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. West wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.
