'Click It Or Ticket' Campaign Announced In West Haven
Police will be cracking down on seat-belt violations through a "Click It or Ticket campaign."
WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven Police are participating in a “Click-It or Ticket” campaign that will continue through Dec. 2. Police said officers will be out at various times during those dates to enforce seat belt compliance throughout the city.
Police will be conducting a safety check for seat belts in the area of Elm Street and Kimberly Avenue on Friday, Nov. 29.
“The general goal of Connecticut’s Occupant Protection Program is to maintain safety belt use rates at a level that is consistently above the National average,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign is a key tool in public awareness and enforcement for safety belt use.”
