Driver Arrested On Gun, Drug Charges: West Haven Police
A traffic stop led to the arrest of the driver, a convicted felon, and two passengers on gun charges, according to West Haven police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A traffic stop led to the arrest of the driver and two passengers on gun charges Sunday in West Haven, according to police.
The driver, a convicted felon, was also found to be in the possession of more than 40 Oxycodone pills, police said.
Police stopped a Ford Fusion on Campbell Avenue for violations and officers searched the vehicle and found “a fully loaded .45 caliber Glock 21 pistol, an additional high capacity 30 round magazine for the Glock 21 which contained 25 rounds of ammunition, 42 Oxycodone 30mg pills and drug packaging material,” according to officials.

A passenger, 38-year-old Alicia Ramos of Bridgeport, was found to have a stolen .380-caliber Glock 42 pistol in her purse, according to police. The gun had been stolen from a vehicle in Bridgeport earlier this year, police said.
The driver, 38-year-old Alexis Ramos of Bridgeport, said the guns and drugs belonged to him, according to police.

Another passenger, 31-year-old Ortexis Ramos of Bridgeport, was found to be in the possession of .380-caliber ammunition and a pistol magazine belonging to the stolen Glock 42, according to police. Ortexis Ramos was also found to be a convicted felon, which bans him from possessing ammunition, and is on parole for a 2004 murder charge, police said.
Alexis Ramos was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a pistol, possession of a large capacity magazine, weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, obtaining drugs illegally, and motor vehicle charges. He was held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
Alicia Ramos was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and possession of a stolen Firearm. She was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
Ortexis Ramos was charged with criminal possession of ammunition. He was remanded to the Department of Corrections, according to police.
