Former Councilwoman Sold Drugs Out Of Her Bakery: West Haven PD
A former West Haven City Councilwoman and her husband are accused of selling Oxycodone pills out of their eatery, according to police.
WEST HAVEN, CT — Former West Haven Councilwoman Louise Martone and her husband were arrested Friday in connection with a “months long investigation” into drug sales out of their business, according to police.
Police launched an investigation in December 2020 regarding prescription Oxycodone pills being illegally sold from Louise’s Homemade Food and Baked Goods at 4 Ocean Ave., according to police.
Detectives found that the owner, Louise Martone and her husband, Ronald Martone, were selling Oxycodone pills from the business, according to police.

“At the conclusion of the investigation, four warrants were obtained for Louise Martone’s arrest, one warrant was obtained for Ronald Martone’s arrest, and a search warrant was granted for Louise’s Homemade Food and Baked Goods,” police wrote in a news release.
Authorities executed a search warrant at the business on June 4 and Louise Martone was taken into custody without incident, police said.

“A search of the business revealed numerous items of evidentiary value to include Oxycodone pills and cash,” police said.
Ronald Martone later turned himself in at police headquarters.
Louise Martone, 52, of Big Spruce Lane, was charged with four counts of sale of narcotics, four counts of illegal sale of prescription drugs, one count of conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics and one count of conspiracy to commit illegal sale of prescription drugs.
Ronald Martone, 60, also of Big Spruce Lane, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics, and one count of conspiracy to commit illegal sale of prescription drugs.
