Longtime ND-WH Assistant Named New Coach At Sacred Heart Academy
The longtime Notre Dame-West Haven coach was officially hired at Sacred Heart Academy this week.
HAMDEN, CT — Longtime Notre Dame-West Haven assistant boys’ basketball coach Jason Kirck has been named the new head coach of the Sacred Heart Academy girls’ basketball team, Joe Morelli of GameTimeCT.com reports.
Kirck, 45, was previously a head coach of the boys’ basketball team at Staples-Westport and has been the assistant at Notre Dame-West Haven (his alma mater) for the last 12 years, according to GameTimeCT.
Kirck said he wasn’t looking to leave Notre Dame but told Morelli the opportunity to build a girls’ basketball program at Sacred Heart was “unique.”
