Notre Dame-West Haven Cracks Top 5 of Boys Basketball Poll

WEST HAVEN, CT — Some early season surprises caused a 50 percent revamping of the latest weekly high school boys basketball poll of Connecticut sports media members.

Positions 6 through 10 were taken over by teams which had not been in the top 10 the previous. spots 1 through 3 remained unchanged, however, with Sacred Heart grabbing 12 of 19 first-place votes, followed by East Catholic (six top votes) and Windsor (one first-place nod).

Notre Dame-West Haven moved up two spots to fifth in the most recent balloting.

Here are the top 10, with last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other schools receiving votes.
