Obituary: Deborah Lynn Wetherell Fiorillo, 70, of West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Deborah Lynn Wetherell Fiorillo, age 70, of West Haven passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2021.

For 35 years, she was the loving wife of William D. Fiorillo Jr. Deborah was born on August 12, 1950 in Milford, daughter of the late Arniss and Grace Stevens Wetherell.

She is also survived by her daughters Patricia (Daniel) Boynton Cole of Ansonia and Elizabeth D. Fiorillo of GA, her grandchildren, David (Jess) Omara, Taylor Boynton, Bryan (Shannon) Brewer, Christopher (Kristi) Brewer and Vincent Brewer, her great grandchildren Liam and Kalyanna Brewer and her siblings Ronald Munro of Branford and Shiela Hamar of FL.

She also leaves behind her Godson/nephew Jeremy (Rhonda) Parker and many nieces and nephews.

Deborah was predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Boynton and her siblings William and David Wetherell, Patricia Bernardo and Sharon Peterson.

Deborah held a Masters in Speech Therapy and Pathology and worked for the City of Bridgeport in the school system, prior to her retirement.

She loved gardening, sewing, her dog Lucy and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She enjoyed traveling to Block Island and Gettysburg.

Deborah was a true history buff, she enjoyed making her "Sunday Sauce", watching crime TV and reading books. The family would like to thank her amazing care givers, who went above and beyond to keep her home.

The hours for visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the West Haven Funeral Home a t the Green.
